Owen Sound Natural Happiness Guide

This is no mere guide for typical travelers. This is the definitive guide on the natural locations that you should visit, the people that you should meet with, and the businesses and eateries that will promote health and happiness of your body, mind and soul while in our Area. 

       Owen Sound is a spiritual mecca with rich history involving indigenous people, as well as holistic spas, spiritual retreats, healing services, sacred ground, and park land that evokes a sense of peace in those that interact with it.  It is a city surrounded by waterfalls, forests, bluffs, and rock outcroppings that beckon for us to take the time to interact with them.  It is the best starting point to experience the Niagara Escarpment through Bruce County, as it serves as the resting place for the traveler that is seeking the metaphysical in their travels. 

        This area is not unlike Machu Picchu, in its sacred value, and similarly,  it has laid undiscovered for centuries, and the locals often take it for granted, and that is why it has remained a secret.  The reality is that places like this lay in waiting until someone sees the hidden value and the meaningful nature that they contain that should be shared with the rest of the world.  This is such a place,

Owen Sound serves as a launching point to many experiential activities for those interested in eco-tourism and travel.  It is a great starting point for an adventure into the Niagara Escarpment which boasts hiking, biking, sailing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, birdwatching, wildlife photography, camping, art crawling, star gazing, swimming, fishing, hunting, sunrise and sunset watching, etc...

If you are open to new experiences which may open up your hearts and your minds as well as push your spirits, then this one destination that cannot be missed...

Read through the site and learn about the local native people holding their land as sacred for thousands of years locally. Learn about a city that served as the end of the underground railroad, a city that has more musicians, artisans, authors, and philosophers then the norm.  It is a community filled to the brim with volunteers, caring individuals and interesting stories.

We are the people that left the cities to live at our own pace, one of relaxation and interaction with the elements.  We welcome you with open arms to visit our Region for yourselves, but for now...
